You feel disorganized, overwhelmed, and have difficulty focusing.
It can be difficult to start tasks, especially ones that you find boring. You procrastinate and then end up stressed as you rush last minute to finish a project before the deadline.
Your brain is wired differently which has its strengths and can even be a super power.

ADHD isn't a matter of motivation.
Instead it is an issue of biology. ADHDers have brains with different neurochemistry than neurotypical people, which can make it difficult to focus, be productive, and manage time. It can lead to feeling frustrated as well as painful consequences of late bills, lost items, or enormous stress as you rush at the last minute to finish an assignment or project before the deadline. Through therapy, you can learn new strategies that work with your strengths to manage challenges of a society constructed for neurotypical people.

ADHD support
In therapy, we can identify the tasks you are not doing but need or want to do, and create more effective strategies that work for you. We can identify the barriers that get in the way of your intentions and figure out what you can do to complete the tasks you need or want to do. We can also explore obtaining support or resources to create a more neurodivergent friendly environment so that you don’t have to mask your symptoms to fit in or please others.
